Ensures command and control operations of observation system functions.
UCCJ functions:
- Switching on and off of the system and the selection of its functional modes
- Controls position and azimuth and elevation speeds of the stabilized Pan & Tilt platform
- Ensures switching between the 3 cameras and their fixed fields of view
- Provides laser rangefinder control
- Optionally provides interface with a PC computer with GIS application
- Ensures electrical interfaces with the power supply system
- On the front panel of the UCCJ are positioned bicolor LEDs signaling the operating status of the system
